cut-out

Cut-out (2020) is a short documentary (13 min) about an interaction between a group of railway maintenance workshop workers and a young artist Tajda, who is creating an art piece. Tajda is creating a triptych sculpture, with three large vertically oriented metal ellipses. The workers of the railway workshop in Dobova (a small village in Slovenia) are helping her out, by cutting an old oil tank, to extract three large pieces of metal. Once the work in Dobova is finished, the metal ellipses will become a sculpture and travel to Germany, to occupy a new space in a different role, that of an artwork.
